Director of Development- Major Gifts
Background: Our Client, a prominent, multi-facility hospital system, sought a key
Development Officer who possessed the experience necessary to dramatically
expand Major Gift acquisition activities. This individual had to not only have
demonstrated experience building out a major giving program, but also had to
have the ability to both work closely with a tightly-knit executive leadership team,
as well as the ability to work within a matrixed foundation structure that was in the
midst of being reorganized.
After interviewing executive leadership and creating a detailed position profile, a
pool of three candidates was subsequently identified, sourced, and presented.
The Client completed the initial round of interviews, and rapidly closed in on a
finalist who was then interviewed by panels comprised of both staff and board
members.
After conducting these interviews, and completing a personality profile the Client
extended an offer that was immediately accepted. This search was completed in 38
days.
