Background:  Our Client, a prestigious school catering to severely handicapped
children with an array of special needs, sought out The Artisan Group to identify a
Development Professional who could invigorate the entire Development function,
as well as launch a new Major Giving initiative that would tie into an ongoing
Capital Campaign.

The Development Department had entered into a period of significant disarray and
poor performance.

Within days, The Artisan Group  identified a particularly appropriate and
accomplished Development Professional, who had a special needs child of her
own, and for whom the mission of the school resonated significantly.

After the search committee and board met with the candidate, an offer was
immediately extended and accepted.  Development Revenue has increased by a
